Items for repair may be dropped off or collected outwith normal working hours, by arrangement.

Slow laptop? If it's older than 3-4 years it may still be using a traditional, mechanical hard disk, which these days can be a bottleneck, especially running Windows 10 or 11. Replacing with a solid-state drive is usually the quickest way to gain a performance increase. Prices from £85.00 for this upgrade.

Repairs

We fix a variety of machines: desktop, laptop, game console, tablet and phone, which can be brought to the shop any time during working hours; no appointment is necessary. An initial inspection of a few minutes is usual practice, and then, where deemed necessary, further tests can be performed, usually over the course of two to three days. For all but the simplest of issues, a minimum handling charge applies, to cover administration and low-cost parts if required for testing. In the case of high-value repairs, half or even full payment may be necessary before proceeding.
